Michael Phelps won today its third gold medal in the Olympic Games in Beijing and broke his own world record at 200 meters imposed in the freestyle.

The U.S. marked a time of 1 minute and 42.96 seconds, eclipsing his own plusmarca of 1:43.86 set by the world swimming last year in Australia.

Phelps spraying your competition, touching the wall almost two seconds difference on the South Korean Park Tae-hwan, silver with his record of 1:44.85. The American Peter Vanderkaay kept the bronze with 1:45.14.
