Manchester United does not trust the Aalborg in the second day of Champions League

Manchester United are in the group stage of last year's edition of the Champions League, no sweat on their march to the conquest of their third European Cup. But the dream of a fourth crown could be in jeopardy with a new false step in the visit on Tuesday to Aalborg.

The defense of the title began with a meager 0-0 tie at home versus Villarreal, repeating the performance against the Spanish team in the 2005 edition in which the English could not survive the group stage.

And the duel on Tuesday in Denmark, one of the 16 for the second time, will revive memories of the defeat to FC Copenhagen in this instance two years ago.

United has not only taken off a hesitant in Europe, because in the Soccer betting Premier League has just joined eight points after the first five dates of the tournament which is also the current champion.

After assign two points in our first game, it is now essential to do it right before the Aalborg, said the coach Alex Ferguson. Will be measured with Manchester United, will fill the stadium and the whole city is pending. The clubs are always Aguerre.

Group E after it was started as a Celtic, who will visit to Villarreal, also matched with Aalborg 0-0 two weeks ago.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, will visit the Zenit Petersburg, the last champion of the UEFA Cup. The Spanish giant has spun four wins in a row.

Far from convincing in terms of the game, merengue beat the BATE Borisov of Belarus 2-0 in the debut in Group H.

What they have shown pragmatism is the time to take victories in matches difficult.

We have a great spirit and that is very important because it allows us to be able to move forward with parties that are complicated, said the Portuguese defender Pepe.

A sight too intense duel in the Russian countryside: We will have to suffer a lot if we want to take the three points.

In his debut in the Champions absolute, the Zenit succumbed 1-0 to visiting Juventus and their coach Dick Advocaat said it was imperative to get a good result.

We have nothing to lose. We can surprise the Real Madrid. The home matches in Champions League we must win, said the Dutch coach. We must begin to add up points. If not, we will stay away.

The champions of Germany and France are measured in Group F. Bayern Munich will try to react after two consecutive defeats in the Bundesliga to get to Lyon.

Juergen Klinsmann's team began their European campaign with a victory in the Romanian Steaua's stadium and was warned of the fire power of Benzamide striker Karim, who would be heading in the table despite a slight Gallic discomfort in the ankle.

Steaua will try to neutralize the attacker Alberto Gilardino when the Romanians visit to Fiorentina in Italy. Gilardino got two of his six goals in the season in a tie that Viola drew 2-2 in their visit to Lyon.

Arsène Wenger promised changes in the eleventh day of that will face Arsenal at home to Porto, after an unexpected defeat to newly-promoted Hull had cost them first place in the Premiership.

I do not know how many, but changes will be made, said Wanger, whose Arsenal equaled 1-1 with Dynamo Kiev on the first date. It had to do several things (to Hull), which made me feel bad either.

The Fenerbahce Luis Aragones face to Kiev after suffering three defeats in five dates, the worst start of the Turks in 20 years.

The date will be completed on Wednesday with the following parties: Bordeaux-CFR Cluj-Roma and Chelsea (Group A); Anorthosis-Panathinaikos and Inter-Werder Bremen (Group B); Shakhtar-Barcelona and Sporting-Basel (Group C) and Atletico de Madrid-Liverpool and PSV Eindhoven, Olympique Marseille (Group D).

Inter Milan and Juventus Lead Serie A

Inter Milan and Juventus are tied at the top of the Serie A standings after they both picked up wins over the weekend.

Inter Milan won 3-1 at Torino as Maicon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored goals. "Inter was the stronger side today because it scored three goals and could have scored more," coach Jose Mourinho said. "They scored a goal and were motivated at the end but our goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who was on vacation for 75 minutes, made some big saves, and that's what president Massimo Moratti pays him for." Juventus got a goal from Amauri as they defeated Cagliari 1-0. "Right now it's us and Juve, but we'll understand the standings better once the December break comes," Mourinho said. "Milan (AC) will bounce back and so will Roma." Inter and Juventus have seven points each at the top of Serie A followed by Lazio, Palermo, Catania and Atalanta with six points.

Vincenzo Iaquinta set up Amauri's goal for Juventus and the team overcame the loss of starting goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon who left at the half. His replacement, Alex Manninger, made a big save in the 90th minute on Alessandro Matri to save the win. "There could have been more goals for us if we had figured out how to take advantage of our chances, and for them with Matri, who nearly tied it," Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri said. Goalkeeper Buffon said his injury was not bad. "I don't think it's anything serious," he said.

AC Milan got goals from Clarence Seedorf, Gianluca Zambrotta, Alexandre Pato and Kaka as they defeated Lazio 4-1. "We realized over these past few days that we're not just great single players, but a strong group," AC Milan’s Kaka said. "You've already seen some improvement and you're going to see more over the next few games." AC Milan faces Reggina on Wednesday and Inter Milan over the weekend.

In the Champions League Inter Milan beat Panathinaikos 2-0 and Juventus got a 1-0 win over Zenit St. Petersburg. "Inter is the team to beat, but we're pretty good too," Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri said.

Chelsea Injured, United Optimistic

Chelsea and Manchester United played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday and both teams came away from the game feeling differently. Chelsea is battered and bruised while United is encouraged.

Chelsea will be without defender Ricardo Carvalho who is out for up to a month with a knee injury and Deco will miss two weeks because of a torn thigh muscle. Chelsea is already without midfielder Michael Essien who is out for months.

Manchester United feels very encouraged after their draw at Chelsea. "That was definitely a point gained for us and was an answer to our critics," said United’s Wayne Rooney. "As soon as we saw the fixture list we knew it was going to be a tough start to the season. We have just had three really hard games, possibly our toughest of all. Now we have got them out of the way, hopefully we can go on a run."

Manchester United nearly ended Chelsea’s 85-match unbeaten home record but they were still pleased to come away with a draw. "Chelsea have a really good record here, so although we were in front for quite a long time and did well, a draw was a good result and probably quite fair given how the game went," Rooney said. "I had a half-chance before they equalized which I might have done a bit better with. But it wasn't to be and overall we did well."

Manchester United is on the other side of the injury situation. Dimitar Berbatov started just his second game of the season while Park Ji-sung, captain Gary Neville and midfielder Owen Hargreaves are also back as is superstar scorer Cristiano Ronaldo. Once Ronaldo gets back to full strength there is little question that United will take off. "It is a great boost for everyone to have Cristiano back," said Rooney. "He adds a different dimension to our play, so hopefully he can get a few more games under his belt. Everyone knows what a great player he is. Once he is fully fit he will soon start producing his best form again."

United is not anywhere near the top of the Premier League standings but they have the most difficult part of their schedule behind them and now will start getting players to full strength and that spells trouble for the rest of the league, including Chelsea.
