Oregon State at Penn State
Saturday, 3:30 pm Eastern – ABC
Two teams going in opposite directions meet on Saturday as 19th ranked Penn State hosts Oregon State. The Nittany Lions routed Coastal Carolina last week while the Beavers were upset by Stanford. Penn State played very well last week against an overmatched Coastal Carolina club but this week they will get a much stiffer test from Oregon State.
Penn State is a 15 point favorite at SBG Global.
The Nittany Lions have two quarterbacks running the offense this season as Daryll Clark and Pat Devlin are competing for the job. Clark completed 11 of 14 passes for 146 yards and a touchdown while Devlin was 5-for-8 for 83 yards last week. "Both quarterbacks played well," head coach Joe Paterno said. "I think Daryll Clark has earned the job, but I think Devlin is very close. I think it's a good situation for us."Oregon State committed three turnovers last week in the loss to Stanford including a costly fumble late in the game that cost them a potential tying touchdown. Quarterback Lyle Moevao threw for three touchdowns in the loss to Stanford but also had two interceptions.
