Hamilton won the Grand Prix of Germany

Hockenheim, Germany. The British pilot Lewis Hamilton, the team McLaren-Mercedes, won yesterday the Hockenheim circuit in Germany Grand Prix Formula 1.

This was the tenth test of the season, in which the Brazilian Nelsinho Piquet (Renault) climbed the podium for the first time.

Piquet got a surprising second place, taking advantage of having refuelling only once, while his compatriot Felipe Massa (Ferrari) completed the podium in third place. This was the second consecutive victory for Hamilton after successful at Silverstone.
Thus, Hamilton was placed at the top of the table with four points advantage before Massa, who came tied to this competition. "I would have preferred a quiet evening, just in front, but this has not happened. We should have entered (in boxes) for the entry of the safety car, that would have facilitated my job, but I say stay on track.

The team thought that time would be sufficient to achieve an advantage before my second stop, "said Hamilton. At junction, the first three retained their positions, but behind the Polish Robert Kubica won three seats to reach the quartet head. After the first bend, without incident, the platoon was stretched and Hamilton imposed a great pace for half a second per lap. The most remarkable of the race occurred on lap number 36, when the German Timo Glock (Toyota), which had hitherto done a good career, was violently left of the runway at the exit of the pits after a rupture of the right suspension of his car. The pilot was transferred to a hospital, while Toyota said later that he was fine. Strategy. The safety car came in track and everybody was precipitated into the pits to refuel ... except Hamilton, self-assured to stay on the track. When the safety car left the track on lap 40, the Briton was ahead of German Nick Heidfeld and Piquet, who also stopped to refuel. Hamilton refuel 10 laps later and returned to the track in fifth position. But the British couple was the fastest ahead without discussion and its cooperating partner Heikki Kovalainen, Finland.

Then Hamilton took up harassing Massa, who advanced but not without resistance on lap number 56, to overcome shortly afterwards Nelsinho Piquet. "We were lucky. Before the race between a dude and two stops, "said the winner.
