The Argentine Midfielder Andres D'Alessandro is expected in the next few hours in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, to undergo medical examinations and sign a four-year contract with the International team, club leaders confirmed today.
The International did not confirm the financial terms of the signing of D'Alessandro, whose rights belonged to the federal Zaragoza, Spain, but the Brazilian press believes that the club has paid about seven million dollars for his passing.
D'Alessandro, who is the main reinforcement announced so far this season by the International-which until now occupies the eighth position of the Brazilian soccer championship, played the last Copa Libertadores americas by the Argentine team San Lorenzo.
Previously, the player integrated teams of Zaragoza, Wolfsburg (Germany), Portsmouth (England) and River Plate (Argentina).
