Edwin Jackson (7-5, 2.52) has controlled the opposition at home, going 4-1 in eight starts with a 2.73 ERA, but hasn’t fared well against the White Sox, posting a 1-2 record in five starts with a 5.93 ERA . These two faced off in Chicago on June 11th, with both taking a no-decision in a 4-3 White Sox win, but Floyd outpitched Jackson badly. Look for your betting services to favor Detroit in this one.

These two also get the nationally-televised game on Sunday night, and Clayton Richard (3-3, 5.00) is coming off his best outing of the year, allowing a run on four hits over eight innings in a 3-2 loss against Tampa Bay. He’ll be taking on Rick Porcello (9-6, 4.40), who has given up five or more runs in his last three starts, and he’s allowed at least one homer in his last four outings. Richard has made two appearances (one start), and he still has a 0-0 record despite a 5.40 ERA. This will be Porcello’s introduction to this American League Central rivalry, and he’ll need to get back to his early-season form. MLB odds should be very close in this matchup given Porcello’s struggles, but the Tigers should be the favorite at home. In which case, take the White Sox in a slight MLB betting upset.
