The biggest game of the college football season so far takes place on Saturday in Dallas as Oklahoma and Texas get together. The Sooners are ranked #1 in the country while the Longhorns are ranked #5. Both teams have been excellent this season but Oklahoma has been a little more impressive. The Sooners have outscored opponents 248-69 this season. Texas is not far behind and with a win could take over the #1 spot. "It's what these two teams should have at midseason. It's two top-5 teams that are both playing really well," Texas coach Mack Brown said. "We'll have everybody in America talking about the game next week, and that's what we want.”
Oklahoma is a 7 point favorite.
Texas is 57-40-5 against Oklahoma all-time in the series. The last time both teams were ranked in the Top 5 and played each other was in 2004 as the Sooners won 12-0. A lot more scoring is expected this time around. Oklahoma is led by quarterback Sam Bradford who is completing 72.6 percent of his passes for 1,665 yards and 18 touchdowns. "Obviously there's going to be a lot more emotion and energy going into this game," Bradford said. "You have to settle down and just treat it like any other game, you can't get out of what you're used to doing." Oklahoma will be tested by a Texas defense that is ranked fourth in the country in scoring defense, allowing only 11.4 points per game.
