Tuesday MLB Betting Picks

MLB Betting Odds at BSNblogLooking ahead to upcoming UFC odds? Not to worry – we’ll have plenty of analysis soon. In the meantime, why not relax and bet on some exciting baseball action between big contenders this week? Here are a few Tuesday games to bet on at your offshore sportsbook.

Phillies vs Rays odds

Tuesday, June 23, 7:08 p.m. ET

Jamie Moyer (4-6, 6.35) vs David Price (1-1, 3.46)

MLB betting lines: Phillies +140, Rays -160

Face it, MLB betting fans: the amazing Jamie Moyer is finally starting to look his age. There’s no shame in that – he’s 46 years old – but bettors are starting to shy away from picking the Phillies on nights when he starts. Well, make sure Tuesday is not one of those nights, as the Phillies have a chance for an upset.

Moyer has struggled mightily at home but he’s respectable on the road; a 5.40 ERA away from Citizens Bank Park isn’t good but it’s sometimes enough to win since the powerful Phillies’ bats give so much run support.

Tampa starter David Price is a dynamic pitcher, good at home, but his walk rate is out of control, as he’s issued 18 free passes in 26 innings this season. If he can’t hit the plate against the Phillies, they can let him put guys on and wait for a mistake. If I’m making sports predictions for Tuesday, I’m thinking that’s exactly what happens.

MLB betting pick: Phillies +140

Cardinals vs Mets odds

Tuesday, June 23, 7:10 PM ET

Joel Pineiro (5-8, 3.77) vs Livan Hernandez (5-1, 4.18)

MLB betting lines: Cardinals -115, Mets -105

Livan Hernandez has won back lots of support among those who make baseball picks, but forgive me for not being overly impressed. The five wins are nice and he’s been solid at home for the Mets, but he still allows long balls like crazy, even when he’s successful. Albert Pujols is on an epic tear right now, so it would be shocking not to see him go yard off Hernandez, especially since he’s already done so in three times in 32 at-bats against him (with a .344 average and 1.042 OPS over that span).

Joel Pineiro is, admittedly, a Jekyll-and-Hyde starter and a trip to New York should put him in “Mr. Hyde” form; he’s 2-5 with a 5.27 road ERA this season. However, it’s hard to imagine a Mets lineup missing Jose Reyes, Carlos Delgado and now Carlos Beltran doing too much damage. Pujols alone should lead the Cards to victory.

MLB betting pick: Cardinals -115
