Mark Martin, Juan Montoya, Kurt Busch, Jeff Burton, and Carl Edwards rounded out the Top 10 in the Samsung 500. Kyle Busch was 18th, Kasey Kahne was 19th, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. ended up back in 20th spot.

Burton, Earnhardt Jr., and Kevin Harvick each have a pair of Cup wins at Phoenix in their careers. Gordon won the Subway Fresh Fit 500 in 2007, while Kenseth, Stewart and both Kurt and Kyle Busch have single Cup wins at Phoenix.
After racing in the desert the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will move on to Talladega Superspeedway for the Aaron's 499 on April 26. The circuit will then stage races at Richmond and Darlington before breaking for the Sprint All-Star Race on May 16.
