Michigan State vs Connecticut odds – Saturday, April 5, 6:07 PM ET
The Spartans are 4-point underdogs against the Huskies, who have won their Tournament games by an average margin of 25.2 points. Michigan State will have a distinct advantage in crowd support, as their East Lansing campus is 75 miles away from Ford Field, where the game will be held. The battle in the middle should be fun to watch, as Michigan State’s Goran Suton will try to continue his brilliant play against UConn’s Hasheem Thabeet, who is a surefire top-5 pick in the NBA draft if he declares. The glass will also be important, as Michigan State leads the nation in rebounding, while UConn is third. The Huskies are used to being the bigger team, but Michigan State isn’t going to back down, and they’re probably more physical than the talented Huskies. With the crowd backing them, take Michigan State in a Final Four betting upset.
Villanova vs North Carolina odds – Saturday, April 5, 8:47 PM ET
The Wildcats have no fear of being a Final Four betting underdog: Villanova has won 15 games as a Tournament underdog, which is the best in NCAA history. However, they’ll be 7-point underdogs against the Tar Heels, who were the preseason picks to win the Tournament, and they seem to be playing their best basketball right now, especially defensively. Ty Lawson’s healthy toe has meant a return to form by the Tar Heels, but Tyler Hansbrough hasn’t played to his potential yet. Meanwhile, ‘Nova’s Scottie Reynolds, the East’s Outstanding Player, made himself a Wildcat legend with his last-second shot against Big East rivals Pittsburgh in the Elite Eight, and he’s improved each game, but he’ll have his hands full with a healthy Lawson, who was the South region’s Outstanding Player. The Wildcats are scrappy and can play either a half-court or uptempo game, but they don’t have legs to run with the Tar Heels for 40 minutes, especially with Lawson at the helm. Make North Carolina your Final Four betting pick.
