Your Saturday YA transfer gossip...

JOSMER ALTIDORE: I had this pegged from the beginning, but couldn't confirm until now; we can add Turkish giants Beşiktaş to the list of Jozy admirers. They join the likes of Ajax, Bursaspor, Celtic, Napoli and Palermo, plus some English and Spanish top flighters. Some are hoping to grab Altidore on loan and some want a full capture. The only thing is, we aren't yet sure which clubs have tabled offers -- or of which kind, for that matter. Villarreal have announced that they are accepting offers for the young striker, but stopped short of saying he is for sale. Stay tuned, this may take a while to unfold.

MICHAEL BRADLEY: Blackpool and Everton are among the clubs reportedly in contact with the U.S. midfielder. Of course, these are UK tabloid links, so it's not exactly gospel. His agent isn't one to talk and 'Gladbach have declined comment. It seems fairly safe to assume someone is trying to land him, at least through initial inquiry, but as of yet there has been no chirping of an official offer from my German birdies.

JAY DEMERIT: Things have gotten pretty quiet on this front, but like the two above, DeMerit is still on vacation. The World Cup defender has offers from the UK and the continent, though I've yet to be able to confirm any suitors beyond promoted Premier League outfit Blackpool, and Championship sides Leeds United and Sheffield United. I can say that he has no offer from Germany, which was the first place I looked. He may also have an MLS option or two, but I would be surprised if he came home at this time.

LANDON DONOVAN: I'll just say this: if things are happening, we won't hear about it until it's nearly done. Until then, Donovan, his agent and MLS will say the things they've been saying. The only party in this soap opera that is talking up a move is Everton. I can only surmise that they will at least make one run, but Donovan's price went up after South Africa and the Toffees are probably not one of the two teams in blue that could pay an obscene amount for a 28-year-old.

BENNY FEILHABER: The Aarhus GF midfielder is in talks with a club in La Liga. That's all I have to start the tale, but it sounds good to me already.

CLARENCE GOODSON: There is still a transfer fee gap between IK Start and bidders Odense BK, but it's getting smaller. Goodson does have a new admirer, but I'm thinking the Odense deal will get done eventually.

JERMAINE JONES: There have recently been rumors of interest from Galatasaray, but Jones' agent waved them off, telling MLSsoccer.com recently that he was only thinking of getting fit at Schalke.

BOAZ MYHILL: The California-born Wales keeper has made a Hull City pledge despite interest from Tottenham.

OGUCHI ONYEWU: Plenty of clubs are calling, but Gooch's rep is basically letting it all go to the machine. "He is adamant about staying at AC Milan," Onyewu's agent, Lyle Yorks, told MLSsoccer.com. "I'm really not even listening when something comes in anymore." Any other questions?

GIUSEPPE ROSSI: I was told by an Italian birdie a few weeks ago that the New Jersey native was about to join Fiorentina, and then assured of it again two weeks ago. A week ago, the source was confused. And just when it seemed like Villarreal would keep Rossi, Gazzetta dello Sport is insisting he will head to Inter Milan if Mario Balotelli leaves. As with the English press, though, one can never tell with Italian reports.

DANNY SZETELA: A recent Polish story that the erstwhile D.C. United midfielder is headed to trial with top division club Lechia Gdańsk is quite simply false. Szetela, who is in America still rehabbing a knee injury, doesn't even know from whence it came.
